Current Events

For my technology current event, I chose and article that probably won't be very interesting to people with iPhones, but to people with blackberry and/or Galaxy phones. The company Samsung, the creator of the Galaxy phones has created a new feature on Blackberry phones as well as Samsung phones. This feature, called Knox, will allow people to keep their business and work separate. This is predicted to be very popular will teenage users, as more schools are following the "bring your own device" rule. This feature will allow kids to play and use social media and keep that separate from all the work they do in school.

I also read another article, where the company Pepsi gave out 4,500 to workers whose job it is to check the shelves and make sure their product is stored and displayed correctly. This would not be very unusual, if these were workers who are managers or salespeople. But it seems uncommon that iPhones would be given to people who check shelves.Everything they needed would be loaded onto the iPhone so they would know how to do their job right. Personally, I think it's ridiculous to give an iPhone to someone whose job it is to look at shelves. I think their money would've been more well spent on marketing or sales pitches, not shelf checkers. These were my two current event articles on technology.
